In this book, you will be able to read and understand more about the history, development and art of the Flamenco guitar. It is a very comprehensive book about covering a wide range of topics. You can read the excerpt of the book in the following website:

Musical Theory of Flamenco Guitar. Manuel Granados.
Fundamentals of Harmony and principles of composition. Music and tablature.
AUTHOR'S PROLOGUE
In the Romantic era Spain, and Andalusia in particular, like a magnet, attracted artists, writers and innovators from near and far. Spain projected an exotic, authentic image, and this, with its long, rich history, was exactly what many Westerners were looking for in an epoch when the Orient and its flavours were the fashion of the day.
Andalusia was the Orient within the West. The prevailing Western society, bored with the stagnation of the times, reached across its borders to the foreign in order to embrace a return to the past in which people saw different ways of life and refreshing attitudes formerly considered vulgar, thus considerably widening their experience and ideas. This digging into roots far and wide also helped to assert inchoate nationalisms. Another side effect of all this was a vision confounded by stereotypes, a confusion that has come down to the present day in which, for example, the Gypsy is confused with the Andalusian, and Flamenco with folklore.

Daniel Turner - Flamenco Guitar Maker
A Quick Note Of Lutheir:
A luthier or violin maker is a person who builds or repairs stringed instruments, either bowed or plucked. These include violins, violas, cellos, double basses, guitars of all kinds, lutes, and mandolins. The French word lutherie, used in both French and English, refers to the art of constructing string instruments. The name luthier harkens back to early lute-makers. In the USA, the term "luthier" is only rarely used even by specialists and not generally known, and the term "violin maker" is the usual term for makers of all members of the violin family and string basses. It is usual to differentiate in US English between violin makers and makers of other string instruments like guitars, lutes, etc.

How much do you know about Flamenco & Classical Guitar?
Differences between a Flamenco guitar and a conventional classical guitar:"Many of the larger builders offer Classical and Flamenco Guitars. Flamenco Guitars often have a slightly smaller body so that they can be sat higher on the lap. They tend to have a teardrop scratch plate for the golpe and other percussive strokes. They tend to have a more percussive tone, in which the energy you put into the strings comes out louder, over a shorter period. This allows better articulation of the rasgueado and rhythmic strokes, together with a high degree of clarity when playing quickly."
"In contrast, the Classical guitar often has a larger soundbox - many now call themselves Concert Guitars. The sustain is better and the sound more mellow. But they can be a little woolly when playing Spanish music."
"Horses for Courses."
"It is often good to try your guitar alongside others in the same environment."

The Men Behind The "Zavaleta" Guitar Instrumental Store.
Beside being a guitar dealer, I am a professor at the University of Arizona, and have played classical and flamenco guitar since 1961. In fact, I earned my way through college both by playing guitar and by doing guitar repairs. When I started to fill the house with guitars, my wife, Eva Zavaleta, started this business to control my spending. We agreed that I could buy guitars, if she could sell them.Dr. James B. Greenberg
Zavaleta is not just "yet another guitar dealer store". With the strong background of the owner being an expertise on the field, backed by a group of professional guitar makers, a wealthy collection of antique and rare quitars, a strong track of good records, you won't be dissapointed considering getting one guitar from them. They have a world wide shopping service, plus, if you need to see, listen to the guitar before making any decision, you can call them up and made appointment with them and they will gladly meet up with you and show you the guitars. Isn't it a great service?
Let's see Dr.James in action!

2005 Pedro Maldonado 1a Especial Concert Flamenco Guitar.
Pedro Maldonado was born in Loja, Granada in 1929. He apprenticed first with the luthier Manuel de la Chica, and later with Miguel Robles, who he credits as being his primary teacher. In 1959, he open his own workshop, and currently builds with his sons Pedro and Luis. His flamenco instruments are highly esteemed in flamenco circles. They have all the qualities one would expect of a good flamenco guitar: power, burn, snarl, firm crisp basses, brilliant vibrant trebles, but also refinement and loveliness of tone. These qualities have lead many leading flamenco artists to use his instruments, including Vícente Amigo, Pepe Romero, Manuel Cano, Sergio Lara, Diego Vargas, Strunz and Farah, and many more. This is his top of the line flamenca negra 1a- especial.

What the Grammy nominated has to say about Flamenco?
Liebert has said that "flamenco is a music both romantic and dangerous; it is an attitude as much as it is a musical genre." Therein lies the philosophy that catapulted him to fame at the end of the '80s with an engaging mix of subdued flamenco guitar and South American percussion, rock, jazz, and pop influences. Liebert's "attitude" actually suppresses the more challenging and "dangerous" aspects of flamenco in favor of the romantic - and the stylish.

An Historical Interview With The Master
This is one of the oldest Interview that i found on Flamenco-World .
Excerpt from the introduction of the interview published on Flamenco-World.com

Ramón Montoya (1937)
This appeared in the Argentine newspaper "La Nación", on May 11th, 1937, but did not include the name of the journalist.
ANDALUSIAN POPULAR ART
Ramón Montoya remembers great singers of "cante jondo"The adventurous life of the cantaor Antonio Chacón
In the early hours of yesterday morning, the celebrated guitarist Ramón Montoya arrived in our city aboard the steamship Campana, from Marseilles. He is considered to be the most complete performer of popular Andalusian music, and has come to our capital, contracted by the owners of the Maravillas theater, where he will perform in tonight's presentation of regional art, as part of the show being offered by the dancer Carmen Amaya. Montoya has been involved in performances of the art of cante jondo for over a quarter century, and his skillful playing has been compared to important figures in flamenco expression such as the Macarronas, the Niña de los Peines, and Antonio Chacón. In an interview held in the Maravillas theater, the famous guitarist remembered all the "greats" that have venerated the popular singing styles of the Andalusian people. He offered many colorful episodes, some picturesque, and others sentimental, and others involving the actor Manolo Vico, linked to the artistic life of Montoya through several adventurous performances on the peninsula. At plain sight, Montoya offers no clues as to his place of birth, nor does his accent when he speaks. Upon seeing him, with his face lit up, one would say that he was from the north of Spain; and speaking, he seems to be perfectly Andalusian. But from the very first questions, Montoya speaks at length and in detail on all things that one may ask about him.
